Susan Lang, President and CEO
Susan Lang has led the growth and development of Lime Connect since its inception in 2006, cultivating and managing the organization's high-level corporate, pro bono and community strategic partnerships in addition to overseeing all day to day operations and driving Lime's expansion into the Canada marketplace. Ms. Lang has an extensive background in marketing, communications and executive level management in both corporate and not-for-profit settings. As the head of marketing for the third largest not-for-profit hospice organization in the U.S., she spearheaded a successful brand campaign following a major geographic expansion effort that led to significant growth. She also served as a member of the senior management team as SVP and marketing director for the top producing and fastest growing multi-state group of a major regional bank. Prior to starting Lime with its founder, she was the executive director of a national disability organization, where she discovered a passion for working to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities. A graduate of Florida State University, Ms. Lang has held leadership positions on the boards of numerous business and community organizations.
Suzanne Aptman, MBA, Professional Development Director
Suzanne Aptman is responsible designing and leading the overall career, professional and leadership development curriculum and learning opportunities for Lime Network members. She is also responsible for designing and leading the Lime Connect Fellowship program and building the Fellows alumni community. To this role, Suzanne brings eight years of experience as an executive coach, facilitator and corporate trainer. She has helped close to one thousand professionals to enhance their leadership and communication skills, enrich their working relationships, and uncover their hidden potential. She has provided these coaching, training and planning services across industries for organizations such as UBS, New York University, AXA Financial, Boston Consulting Group, Yahoo!, Thomson Reuters, Brown Brothers Harriman, US Fund for Unicef, the United Nations, Montefiore Hospital and Columbia Business School. Prior to this career role, Suzanne was a marketing executive and organizational consultant for companies such as American Express and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Suzanne attended Tufts University and received her MBA at Columbia Business School. She received her professional coach training from the ICF-accredited Corporate Coach University and her advanced coach training, in relationship and organizational systems, from the Coaches Training Institute. Suzanne is also an approved community and civil court mediator in New York City.
Pat Holt
Pat Holt joined Lime Connect upon its founding and led the development of campus and recruiter relationships for the organization. While she officially retired from her position at the end of 2009, she continues to work with Lime on special projects and Lime Connect programs in Canada. Ms. Holt had a career with a major public company that spanned nearly three decades where she held progressively responsible positions in human resources, public relations and training, and led the companywide Commitment to Excellence corporate culture program. Well versed in the principles of Six Sigma, she assisted in implementing the corporate training for this quality focus. Ms. Holt also worked closely with the founder, CEO and board of directors to successfully implement strategic initiatives for the company. Most recently, she was a program director of a national disability organization, where she, too, realized a passion for her work. Ms. Holt has also held leadership positions on the boards of numerous business and community organizations.
Karen Kelsey, Relationship Manager, Canada
Karen Kelsey is our newest member of the Lime Connect team, having joined us in May 2012. In her role as Relationship Manager, Canada, she is responsible for managing and building the corporate and post-secondary educational institution partnerships integral to the success of the Lime Connect mandate in the Canadian marketplace. Karen also focuses on attracting high-potential students and alumni to grow The Lime Network in Canada, and she acts as the lead and coordinator for the active Canadian volunteer base. Ms. Kelsey brings over 30 years of relationship management and people management experience in the financial services sector to her role. This includes positions of increasing responsibility in retail banking as well as 12 years of experience in human resources, most recently in a senior relationship management position. Karen has also been involved in the not-for-profit sector for the past 10 years where she has held various executive positions on the board of an organization focused on individuals with Asperger Syndrome.
Jennifer LaRusso-Leung, Engagement Manager
Jennifer LaRusso-Leung is responsible for the organization's overall outreach and communication focus, building broad awareness of the Lime Connect brand. In her role, she works closely with university partners, Lime Connect Fellows, campus ambassadors and other constituents and avenues to attract highly accomplished candidates to The Lime Network. Ms. LaRusso-Leung also manages the organization's valuable corporate partner relationships. Jennifer joined Lime Connect from Columbia Business School, where she was associate director of admissions and led the outreach and recruitment team responsible for all on-campus events and Open House. She was also previously associated with a large corporate law firm where she was responsible for full-cycle campus recruiting and the firm's summer associate program. Jennifer is a graduate of Holy Cross and is working towards her Masters in Psychology in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
