Lime Connect Canada (Lime Canada) is a not for profit organization founded in 2009 with the support of IBM Canada following a series of extremely successful pilot recruitment events. We use our fresh, results-oriented approach to connect university students and alumni with disabilities and global corporations as an untapped source of talent.
Our corporate partners - PepsiCo (global founding partner), IBM, BMO and TD - have realized strong hiring success of our candidates; high potential individuals they would not likely have access to otherwise.
We offer three programs for candidates in Canada:
- Corporate Recruitment Receptions - candidates and partners connect in a more intimate environment for career success. We currently host four (4) events in Toronto and two (2) events in Vancouver throughout the year and candidates from all provinces are encouraged to apply.
- Scholarship and Internship Programs - co-branded scholarships with our corporate partners that support the studies of current university students and can include a paid internship.
- The Lime Network - our broad, virtual program that connects and prepares candidates for careers with our corporate partners. Members of The Lime Network hear from us regarding receptions, additional career opportunities, scholarships, professional development webinars/tele-seminars and more. Candidates with disabilities from throughout the provinces are encouraged to take advantage of The Lime Network.

By the way, we know that one in five people globally has a disability, and that 90% of disabilities on campus and 70% of disabilities in general are non-visible - including learning and attention issues, depression, medical conditions and many others - and all university students and alumni with disabilities are encouraged to register with The Lime Network to take advantage of opportunities with Lime Connect.
