Many of you are about to begin your summer internships. Wishing you "good luck" is clearly in order. So is offering you "congratulations". "Wait!", you say, "I haven't received an offer for a full-time job yet. Why are you congratulating me?" Well, according to a recent Wall Street Journal article "How Summer Can Change Your Future", having a summer internship and work experience can be more important for your future career success than how well you do in school. So, congratulations on landing that summer job.
I am sure this research finding is a great relief to those of you with a disability that had you struggle to keep your GPA strong. And, it should be encouragement to do a great job this summer.
